Our cacao is not raw and there’s an important reason for this. In a nutshell, heating is required to create cacao paste. Heating the cacao eliminates any harmful bacteria that may show up during fermentation of the cacao seeds. So, it’s very rare to find any cacao products on the market that are truly 100% raw!
